I purchased my first standard poodle, Caesar, at Thanksgiving in 1982. He was shipped from Florida to me in Washington D.C. sight unseen, and it was the beginning of a lifetime of love and devotion to the breed. Prior to my first standard poodle I had always had dogs and owned various breeds including German Shepherds and Dobermans.
In my opinion there is no other breed that compares to the Standard Poodle. I breed to improve the breed and for my own enjoyment. I breed for health, temperament and beauty. Genetic testing is done on everything I breed.
At Brazos Sunrise we breed for gentle steady dispositions. Service dog and veterinarian recommendations upon request. All puppies are hand raised in our home. Puppies come home with first set of shots, three sets of deworming, microchipped, vet health certificate and very well socialized!
