Many years ago I saw the most beautiful dog, and asked its owner what it was - a harlequin poodle. Determined to find out more, I asked the poodle people at the EKKA, to no avail. A quick internet search found Nola at Cha. How convenient to have the only breeder of harlequins just down the road! I was lucky, at the time Nola had just one puppy available from a litter: now our Zephyr. I don’t know who fell in love, my son (with the whole litter and vice versa), my partner, or me. Zeph is a delight, he has a quiet and dreamy personality (he’d be a poet if he were a person), a lovely woolly coat and the best, fluffiest ears that he likes to have tickled.
We succumbed to our second harlequin, Ariel, a year later. Returning to Nola’s for regular grooming sessions, I had noticed that other poodles seemed happiest as a pair. Despite having the same parents, Bill and Li’l Bit, Ariel and Zephyr are like chalk and cheese. Where he is quiet and shy, she is miss bossy boots, always in on the action, taking the lead in any situation and, when we let them off the lead at the park, runs like the wind (she’d be a cheerleader if she were a person!). What they do have in common is that they are both completely dedicated to our family, love training and playtime in equal measure, and are the best company you could wish for. Now we are the ones always stopped and asked what sort of beautiful dogs we have.
But it’s all true.
Cheers
Robyn

Banjo was the first poodle we purchased from Nola and from the time he bounced out of his crate at the airport, tail wagging and little eyes sparkling, he was at home with us. He's a big softie and now at 4 years old he knows he's beautiful and he expects everyone else to know this as well, which invariably they do. He loves people, he loves being cuddled and was such a well behaved little chap even as a small puppy that when Nola mentioned that his sister Belle was available as her home had fallen through, we had no hesitation at all in taking her as well.
Now she's a gorgeous little thing too but what a different personality. She took a little longer to accept us and is stand-offish with other people to this day. She chooses who she'll be friendly with and they accept her on her terms or not at all. She's the brains of the outfit however and is extremely mischievous - if there is trouble to be found, she's in it. She learned very early how to open the windows in the car and before anyone says it's an accident, she's worked it out in 4 different vehicles, all with the window controls in different places. Banjo will sometimes stand at the window looking hopeful and she'll shoulder him out of the way, put the window down then go back to her seat. If he's sitting on my knee & she decides she wants to be there too, she'll race to their toybox and grab a squeaky toy, tease him with it until he jumps down then will promptly take his place. She's very entertaining and I could cite many more examples of her ingenuity.
Beau is the latest addition and he too has a beautiful nature. He's a funloving little chap and fits in with the others no problem. He learned to sit on day two - I get them all to sit before they get fed and the second time around his little bottom with ever wagging tail hit the ground as soon as I said the word. He loves the car, he loves being with us, he loves to play - in short he is just a happy little bloke who is a pleasure to have around.
In conclusion I would have to say that these three are amongst the most delightful little creatures we have ever had the privilege of sharing our lives with. Nola, your dogs are just the best!

I have been training dogs for many years and have trained almost every breed.I recently purchased one of nola's pups and I have to say that she is the easiest and smartest pup I have ever trained.
Wonderful nature, always eager to please . It took only telling her twice to get on her bed in the house (my dogs each have their own beds indoors) and about ten minutes to sit ,stay, and walk on a lead,She amazed me.
I can highly reccommend these dogs to anyone
wanting a no hassle, easily trained ,loving
companion.
Thank you Nola for my delightful REBA

Matise & Monet " OUR BOYS" who are now 4 years old.Monet is brown and white and Matise is black and white. We purchased them from Nola when our beautiful standard poodle Maurice, was 11 years old and there arrival certainly placed him as "co-trainer"of the pair.He fulfilled that role untill he passed away in January 2011 at age 15.1/2
years.
Our boys are positivley beautiful and a delight to have as they are so well behaved with wonderful personalities,so much so that other dogs love to be around them.
Nola,Gene and I thank you for the exceptional dogs that you breed and for our "clown" Matise and our "Dapper Dan " Monet. They make us laugh at their playful antics an a daily basis. We are so pleased we got both boys to-gether as they suport each other in everything they do.
